Count Down to Deployment

Since my last spot a lot has happened.

- Attend even more classes, all really cool stuff

- Had a Pre Deployment FTX - training was really good and everyone learned something

- Had my deployment destination and ship date changed several times. I think it is finally set to go.

- I had block leave which was nice.

- After block leave we have been doing half days which is great. We show up do PT, handle any business and go home. This is great for men and women with families. I do not have a wife or kids so I use this time to read, workout, and enjoy myself.

A typical day for me is as follows

5am - Wake Up, Shave, brush teeth put on PTs

6am - Ops meeting

6:30- 7:30 PT

7:30-9:00 Hygine / Breakfast

9:00-12:00 Work on whatever needs to get done / Close out Formation

12:00-13:00 Lunch

13:00-14:00 Weight Lifting M-Chest/Tri T Back/Bi W-Shold/Legs Th- Chest/Tru Fri Back/Bi

S- Shold/Legs Sunday off

14:00-16:00 Eat / Nap

16:00-17:00 Cardio run/elipitcal

17:00 - 22/23:00 Eat, Read, Watch Movies, hang out with friends goto bed

Repeat M-Fri

- I got another A in grad school, and have since not taken any classes because of the upcoming deployment.

- I took my PT test recently and got a 289. I maxed my run and push-ups. For some reason I always get 70 some odd sit ups. ( I lift weight everyday but just can't see myself doing situps everyday .)

- I met a really nice woman, went on a few great dates and then she sort of backed off. She was newly seperated but said she could not handle a new relationship so soon. She was very beautiful, smart and overall a nice woman and I hope that when I get back I can try to see her again.

- I have really gotten to know my company, and the section of soldiers I am going to be working with.

So that is the rundown of what has been going on lately.

My bags are all packed and ready to go. In a week or so the movers are going to come and put all of my stuff into storage. I will sleep on an air mattress and use paper plates and plastic silverware. I am keeping my TV set, and a little computer chair as my only furniture.

As for my feelings right now, I am excited/anxious and ready to go. If my soliders did not have familys I would say lets go right now. I am really looking forward to this adventure and this year of my life.

I will post after the new year and tell you how things turned out getting from my base to our final desitnation. Happy Holidays.....
